Directory of Guarantors

A "Guarantor" is either a non-profit organization or agency of state government that provide financial and other valued services to lenders and other companies who purse, provide or promote education. These Guarantors link students, parents, postsecondary institutions and education lenders to help families prepare and pay for higher education. Should a borrower default on their student loan from the lender, the Guarantor works with the lender to recover the defaulted student loan debt and reimburses the federal government. Here is a list of Guarantors and the state or states they represent with in the United States.
